As Wonder Woman continues to stretch its legs at the box office, the original Diana has revealed she almost showed up in the DC blockbuster — and she remains game for a role in the sequel.
Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 1970s television series, said she was actually approached by Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins for a cameo, but wasn’t able to work it out with her schedule. With the studio hot to get a sequel off the ground, Carter said she’s open to playing a part when production ramps up on Part 2. Even without a direct nod to Carter, Jenkins’ film was pretty great. But, it’d still be a true geek-out moment to see Carter and the modern-day Wonder Woman Gal Gadot on-screen together. read more
